The members visited the Murikipudi school and the village to conduct surveys and prepare for project implementation. We received important information regarding the residents' lifestyle and health issues, while also surveying the various water sources ad technology.
Our vocational skills project included an interview workshop and a Tata talk so the school children could interact and learn more about the speaker and take notes.
We implemented the financial literacy project with the eighth and ninth graders by presenting about investing and budgeting and implemented a hands- on portion with a worksheet about budgeting needs.
Our computer literacy project with the fifth and sixth graders involved presentations on typing and Excel. We left worksheets in the computer lab for the kids to work on.
Our women empowerment taught the tenth grade girls how to apply to higher education and brought in a speaker, Keerthi, from the village to give the girls advice on working towards a career. They also had time to come up with projects and present them to a panel to gain feedback about what they did well and what they could improve on, akin to Shark Tank.
Our team provided information to the eighth and ninth graders about water filtration, chemicals, and testing, in addition to interactive water testing stations for the students to apply their knowledge. We also used the day to test various water sources around the school and Vemavaram.
